Return and Refund Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your coffee. This policy outlines our return and refund process, in compliance with German and EU law, to ensure a clear and fair experience for everyone.
Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)
As a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your contract with us within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, have received the last item of your order.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (e.g., a letter sent by post or an email). You can contact us at julian@mijitocoffee.com. You can also use the withdrawal form provided at the end of this policy, though it is not mandatory.
Returns for Roasted Coffee
Due to the nature of our product, roasted coffee beans are considered a perishable good. According to § 312g (2) No. 2 of the German Civil Code (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch, BGB), the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that can spoil quickly or whose expiration date would be exceeded quickly.
This means that we generally cannot accept returns of roasted coffee once the package has been opened. The quality and aroma of the coffee begin to change as soon as it's exposed to air. We want to ensure that all customers receive the freshest possible coffee, and accepting returns of opened packages would compromise this quality.
However, if your coffee is undamaged and unopened in its original, sealed packaging, you may still be able to return it within the 14-day withdrawal period. Please contact us at julian@mijitocoffee.com to initiate this process.
Defective or Damaged Products
Please inspect your order upon arrival. If an item is defective, damaged, or you receive the wrong product, contact us immediately at julian@mijitocoffee.com. We will evaluate the issue and work with you to find a solution, which may include a replacement or a full refund.
Return Process
If your return is approved (e.g., for an unopened product or a damaged item), we will provide you with a return shipping label and instructions on how to send the package back. Please do not send items back to us without first requesting a return.

Refunds
Once we have received and inspected your returned item, we will notify you of the status of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed automatically to your original payment method within 14 days. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
If you have not received your refund within 15 business days after we have approved it, please contact us at julian@mijitocoffee.com.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
In addition to our roasted coffee policy, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to exchange an item is to follow the return process and make a separate purchase for the new item once your return is approved.
